Rubellite or Pink/Red Tourmaline is a beryllium aluminum silicate mineral that crystallizes in the form of masses, as well as vertical hexagonal pillars. Most specimens are found formed in a Quartz matrix or grown on top of one.

It is possible to get pieces outside this range, or with other variances in shapes, color shades, patterns, clarity, translucency, number of pieces or other characteristics which can vary each time natural stones are mined.
