Julia Bray
Concertina Book Art Class | Step into the Wild | Julia Bray
We are excited to host local artist, Julia Bray as she presents a workshop on an artisan collage journaling technique. The creation of these Concertina Books allows you to slow down and enjoy the process of creation. Allow your mind to relax as you create a "journal" of images, text, found objects, and patterns, through this abstract expression and non-objective art form.
This class aims to be a relaxing exploration of self and nature through mixed media, while releasing the pressure of chasing perfectionism and end results. Each book will be as unique as the one creating it.
Julia will supply all materials needed to create your Concertina Book. However, you are encouraged to bring any bits of nature (leaves, flowers, etc.) or magazine images and the like that inspire you.
9am - 12pm on Saturday, October 4th. Space is limited.
Tickets are $85.
Tea, coffee, and water will be provided. There will be a break, so you are encouraged to bring a snack.
Class led by abstract artist and art teacher, Julia Bray.
Media available for use: Acrylic ink, watercolor, pens, pencils, paint pens, decorative papers & tissue, panels, mixed media paper, stamps, bits of nature, coffee filters, etc.
